It's in your best interest to use your own agent if the home is listed on the market. There really isn't a benefit to using the listing agent for a purchase. Since the listing agent is working in the best interest of the seller, I would find your own agent. Your own agent will be able to give you advice on the offers and negotiations that the listing agent will not be able to do without compromising their side.
