Plumbing Upgrade or No Plumbing Upgrade
Evening. Last week I had a 4-pt inspection performed on one of our Pensacola properties - recently had the roof replaced and wanted to take advantage of the wind mitigation credits. However, the most recent inspection noted PEX plumbing (not in the original report - separate home inspectors). The PEX piping negates any insurance credits and needs to be replaced.
Replacing the PEX piping will cost $2500-$3000, BUT, this will lower my annual insurance premium from $1,110 to $560. Property is currently occupied and this will cause a disruption to the tenant (who has been AWESOME to date).
Would you update the plumbing at the $2500-3000 cost?
