You Need to Talk to One Person in the Industry a Day

Today, I want to talk about talking, to be more specific, I want to talk about talking to investors, talking to people in the industry, talking to and getting your message out there about what you are doing on a regular basis. So, this is a challenge, what I do, and what I now want you to do is talk to at least one investor a day. A lot of you out there might be thinking:

“Wow, that's not very much, you're just talking to one person a day.”

Yes, but,

I'm talking every single day with no breaks. And yes, I do talk to more than one investor a day usually, but some days, If I'm sick, if my kids are sick, if my husband's sick, if something's happening in my life and I really don't feel like talking to anybody right now. It doesn't matter. Hashtag no excuses, no if and or buts. No compromise.

It really all starts with one talk, there will be that one person that takes you over the edge. It's going to be that one conversation that gets you that extra million, 2 million, 5 million. It's that one person’s life that you have changed their life for the better, simply because you took that time. Just because you took this challenge to talk to one person a day about what you are passionate about, this asset class, and why this can change your life.

I officially challenge you to talk to one person a day.

I know there are naysayers out there, that will come up with excuses such as:

“Oh, well, I don't have the time!”

Well, if you don't have the time then what are you doing? Why are you in this asset class?

You have to make the time. The only way you're going to dominate in this field, the only way that you're going to be able to execute deals, the only way that you're going to be able to up-level your life is if you make the sacrifice and make time no matter what, you talk to one person.

It doesn't matter if you're just starting out. It doesn't matter if you've been doing this for a billion years (if you've been doing this for a billion years, you can probably take a break, you guys take a day off). For the rest of you that have not done this for a billion years, just take that one moment and it's like a 10 to 15-minute phone call. I'm not talking about you sharing your entire life story but take that moment, take that moment to change one person's life today.

Have that conversation. You got that challenge. One person, I want to hear back from you. I want to know that you have jumped on this challenge. It's just the one person a day challenge. Talk to one-person a day because unless you open your mouth, unless you tell people what you do, you're never going to grow. That's how you build your investor network. That's how you build a business. You let people know, it's called marketing and it's called marketing at its finest.
