@Ann Bellamy

Don't see the event listed anymore under the events section of the site. Can you send me the address when you get a moment? Also do I need to register if I can make it or can I just show up?

Thanks

@Ann Bellamy

Ann,

Thanks for responding and providing the info on the local meetings. I was actually hoping to attend your seminar on Short Term and Vacation Rentals in Waltham as my wife is interested in investigating that market but I can't make it to Waltham in time. Have not searched this out on BP yet so not sure if there is much info on this specific subject.

Also, I see you are a hard money lender. I am intrigued by the lending side of the business and learning about hard money lending and notes. All part of figuring out where I want to focus.

Thanks again for reaching out

Dave

I am a newbie to real estate investing and stumbled onto BP while googling a real estate investor training program to "check him out". I quickly realized BP was a much better investment in terms of learning. I have found this site to be a tremendous resource for all things REI. My real estate background is minimal in that the last house I bought I had built in 1987. I see a lot of younger people on the site which I think is outstanding as I am jumping in at the tender age of 60. I have been a DIYer ever since buying my first house in the early 80's and always dreamed of flipping or rehabbing houses. I have spent a fair amount of time on the BP website reading everything I can get my hands on, including the Ultimate Beginners Guide, which I found to be a great place to start for a newbie. It has certainly opened my eyes to other REI opportunities, though somehow I think rehabbing may be in the cards. As I am currently between full time jobs, I have plenty of time to learn. Wouldn't be a bad thing to do this full time but taking one step at a time. For now, looking to develop local network and develop relationships to both learn and help others where I can. My short term goal is to identify my niche in REI and become proficient in that aspect of investing. Longer term goals include:

  1. Building wealth
  2. Monetizing what I hope will be a passion
  3. Gain some residual income
  4. Build a business of my own
  5. Ultimately provide financial independence
  6. Personal fulfillment

Looking forward to expanding my knowledge and dipping my toes in the water with the hopes of someday being fully immersed.
