Thank you all for your responses! We decided to introduce ourselves but not give any contact information and inform them that they will be dealing with a property manager for paying and maintenance. I guess I should have checked this thread first haha.

Is there any need to get feedback from tenants about the property manager? Sounds like from the response it is most important to trust them and be hands off. Thanks again!

@Bryce Wade thanks for the advice!

Yesterday I closed on my first rental property, a tri-plex with all the units rented out. My question is how would you first make contact with the tenants ? Should I go knock on their doors, call them or have the management company make first contact? My business partner thinkss it would be a good idea if they didn't have any of our personal information that way they have to go through the management company. Is that a good strategy? I am obviously very new at this. I'm half way through the Rental Property Investing bigger pockets book.

Thanks for the help!
