    Brandon,

I started investing when I was on shore duty by serial home buying. Two houses in, I transferred overseas, then my military career took over and have been stagnant since. I’ve spent the last 13 years reading and learning as much as I can. I recently discovered Bigger Pockets, and have been listening to the podcasts from the beginning. I’m on episode 36 right now. Episode 23 inspired me in particular, as I’ve been stationed overseas much like James Vermillion (Guam in fact). Unlike James, I’ve allowed my military career to trump my investing dream, and haven’t grown from the original 2 rentals. I’m approaching retirement, and am planning on building my portfolio in the last few years of my military career in support of that goal. Thank you for the wealth of information I’ve gained through this site and the many books I’ve purchased and read thanks to you and Josh Dorkin. I’m ready!
