Hi, all. Liz is back this week to talk about ways to reboot yourself as June quickly ends, and the second half of the year begins.
I don’t know about you, but I cannot believe the middle of 2015 is almost upon us. I feel like it was just January first, and we were talking about setting goals and intentions for the year! What I love about time is that it does not wait for anyone.
So here are 21 ways to “reboot” yourself as you look to achieve all the amazing things you want to achieve by the end of the year.

21 Ways to Reboot Yourself & Revitalize Your Goals Mid-Year
1. Review the goals you set out to achieve at the beginning of the year.
This one seems obvious, but I can’t tell you how important it is! Assess what needs to be adjusted. Remember, stretch yourself, but make your goals attainable as well.
2. Re-answer the question: “Where do I want to be in 5 years?”
Like it or not, our goals and lives change constantly. My husband Matt and I have our monthly financial/business meeting this week, and we are going to begin our meeting discussing this question. We have answered it in the past, but we need to constantly revisit this so we ensure our activities today align with the future we are creating.
3. Set new intentions (if need be) for the rest of the year that align with your greater vision.
After you have assessed what has worked and not worked, set new intentions that align with your long term goals.
4. Perform a “continue, start, stop” on yourself.
This exercise is simple, yet powerful. Answer the following questions:
- What should I continue doing in order to achieve my goals?
- What should I start doing in order to achieve my goals?
- What should I stop doing in order to achieve my goals?
Don’t judge yourself or beat yourself up; just set some new intentions and move forward.
5. Enroll a coach, mentor or accountability partner.
Unfortunately, you will allow yourself to slide. However, when you have someone to answer to, you will hold yourself to a higher standard. Find a partner to share your goals with and create a weekly or monthly connection where you two can support each other.
6. Set some new educational goals for yourself.
In order to achieve what you want to achieve, who do you need to “be” in order to achieve these goals? For example, I am currently eating up everything I can about flipping and construction. I am reading books and listening to podcasts, etc. I am committed to learning more about this topic, and I am setting education goals on a weekly basis to make this happen.
7. Celebrate what you HAVE accomplished.
This one we forget often. Remember, what you focus on expands, so if you focus on what you HAVE done well, you will get more of that.
8. Set personal goals.
Ambitious people forget this one. No one wants to be the “work-a-holic” who makes no time for themselves (or even relationships). One goal that I am setting for myself is to run the Baltimore marathon in the fall. What are you going to do for yourself before the end of the year?
9. Create a habit of reviewing these goals on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
When I say “process” it can be as simple as reviewing and setting new goals for the week every Sunday morning or night. The key is to have a process and stick by it.
10. Answer the question: “What has to happen in the next 6 months for me to feel happy and successful about my progress?”
This is another thought provoking question to ask yourself in order to get your wheels turning and focus your energy.
11. Network. Meet new people. Build new relationships.
I don’t need to tell you how important this one is, no matter how experienced or how new you are to this business. Just this week I connected with two new people in my local market. It was excellent and refreshing to meet these people. Don’t get “too busy” to meet with new people.
12. Simplify. Do you need to make more room in your schedule to achieve your goals? What needs to be removed?
If you have a problem saying “no” to others, then this one is for you. Remember, time is the one limited resource. Use it wisely.
13. Say “no” to things that no longer serve you.
This might be people, habits, groups or even ways of thinking.
14. Begin or join a mastermind group.
If you are not in a mastermind group currently, begin or join one. It is one of the best things I have done this year. If you have no idea of the benefits of mastermind groups, Google it! I promise it will change your life, too.
15. Stop saying, “I don’t have time.”
I don’t have many pet peeves, but this has to be one of them. When people say “I don’t have time,” it is like saying, “I don’t want to make the time.”
16. Ask for feedback and then make changes.
Successful investors constantly ask for feedback, are self-aware, and then make changes accordingly. Don’t get stuck. Be humble to get feedback from people you trust and respect.
17. Attend a workshop, conference, or retreat to develop yourself further.
Set a goal for attending one conference or workshop to develop YOU. No one is going to do this for you.
18. Start and end your day in a state of gratitude.
This might seem obvious, but it is incredibly powerful to begin your day (when you are fresh) and end your day (when you put your head on your pillow) in a state of appreciation and gratitude. You always attract what you are thinking.
19. Assess your habits – what is working and not working for you?
These can be big or small habits. Regardless, the habits we have either help or hinder us. Choose wisely.
20. Be 100% present to what you are doing and who you are with.
The easiest way to achieve peace in this crazy, busy world is to be 100% present to what you are doing and who you are with – in the moment.
21. Listen more and talk less.
You can’t learn and expand yourself if you are busy talking and not listening.
