I love listening to Clark Howard and Bigger Pockets! Excited to listen to this podcast!
A great podcast!
I have been a Clark Howard fan for decades. Somewhere along the trail of raising kids, opening new businesses, and being in a constant state of the overwhelmed universe in New Jersey, I lost track of the consumers’ & investors’ best friend hero “Superman Clark”. It was a true pleasure to listen to him again.
This has to be the best show in a long time! He didn’t call ’em PIGS, but he called them out 🙂
Very informative podcast! I am new to real estate investing and the discussion about thoroughly educating yourself on an area was extremely pertinent. I do have this excitement for all the possibilities RE investing can open for me. But, I have to remember to check myself and do my research before jumping into a property. There is a difference between risk and educated risk.
One other thing I wanted to ask about was in regard to the IRA accounts you spoke on toward the end. And, I’m prefacing this by saying I know zero about stock market investing, though I plan to educate myself at some point. In those IRAs, do you have the ability to be hands on in what investments comprise that account? I’m a huge Richdad fan, and one of the principles (among many) that I really took to was the idea of being active in your investments. Really knowing where your money is going, not just trusting someone else who may be an “expert” to take care of it for you.
Anyway, great podcast!
Nice, bringing in the big guns
Love podcasts but second podcast, in a row, I have listened to that has had offensive comments. Telling Clark Howard “good job on that by the way!” after he stated that his wife is 15 years younger than him — REALLY?! Totally inappropriate –Thankfully Clark Howard ignored this comment. I hope you guys can start to realize you have female listeners as well that aren’t impressed with these types of comments or the ‘thats what she said’ type of humor– this is 2015.
Tnx Anna I agree!! I generally hate BP’s pod casts Frat’ish back slapping, which that comment was just one aspect of!!!
Great podcast! Thanks for all the information and tips.
Loved the show. Especially on how to pic neighborhoods based on single men moving in. Barbara Corcoran said she always asks her gay waiter where he lives and then buys there! 🙂 Guess he couldn’t say that. I can cause I’m gay although no longer young. Peace.
Great podcast! Excellent advice on avoiding asset bubbles. Clark Howard talked about the importance of diversifying into other passive income streams outside of real estate to mitigate risk. I recently posted, on BiggerPockets, an article on 12 different types of passive income to help fund your financial independence if people are looking for more information on this subject. https://www.biggerpockets.com/blogs/7314/blog_posts/47144-12-types-of-passive-income-to-fund-your-financial-independence

Clark Howard was a phenomenal guest booking! Clark’s appearance made for compelling content especially his detailed revelations about his REI successes and failures. Who knew?!
Clark is the gold standard of broadcasting. There is no other individual that I have ever met in radio who possesses as much integrity as Clark Howard. He has never sold-out to extremely lucrative endorsement opportunities. Hearing him with Josh and Brandon was especially sweet since Clark is a radio legend and Josh and Brandon are making gigantic strides in their podcasting empire.
If you haven’t listened yet, be sure to check out these three talented guys who know their stuff and have a great sense of humor.
I just listened to podcast 149 and it was good.
I’ve been listening to Clark since the 1990’s, and today I learned I have something in in common with him besides owning real estate. Neither of has been to North Dakota, but have been to the other 49. Great show!
This is a great guest!
I was hoping for Clark Howard to be on the show! Thank you guys for making it happen.
This was a great podcast, I appreciate the comments regarding the “dare to be rich” pitches. Its great to know that everyone makes these types of mistakes. Thank you for bringing Howard Clark on he had great advice!
