It turned out to be a fabricated story I believe and his advice in that situation was treat it like any other eviction. 

They claim only $10-$15/sqft to fabricate and install granite countertops but $5/sqft to install laminate flooring.The website is total nonsense.

A friend of mine did buy something very similar to what you describe.He's a contractor/ metal fabricator / salesman...bought a broken foundation building in a small town in Michigan, Has rebuilt the thing to code including a kitchen ,with a good portion of barter work, and 3 years later is getting closer all the time.

I have to explain to them that I would have to have a mental and/or moral defect to fabricate such stories.
