So as to ad some substance to this forum I want to ask about Nextfoor.com, typically the people who join it are new/younger owners in the area.

When someone blows so much smoke and is so quick to get nasty & personal instead of addressing the substance of the discussion.....well, such tawdry behavior reflects poorly on that person's judgment & credibility.

(IF) your sister-in-law is dealing with substance/drug abuse of some kind then you could encourage her to check into a rehab then you and your wife could help sort some things out while she’s getting help for herself.

Yes, interest only loans can work, but that is a different strategy I refer to as a form of "cash like substance".
