Stat. 25-3-309(a) states, "A person not in possession of an instrument is entitled to enforce the instrument if (i) the person was in possession of the instrument and entitled to enforce it when loss of possession occurred, (ii) the loss of possession was not the result of a transfer by the person or a lawful seizure, and (iii) the person cannot reasonably obtain possession of the instrument because the instrument was destroyed, its whereabouts cannot be determined, or it is in the wrongful possession of an unknown person or a person that cannot be found or is not amenable to service of process.Keep this in mind when looking to buy notes with collateral in North Carolina!

There are also service animals that support for seizures, catatonic events and others, but again, a tenant prospect would be forthcoming with the appropriate paperwork if requested.Anything outside of these 'guidelines' is most likely an individual bringing you a pet, or in your case pets.

Assuming the lot is in a zoned area, and you can put a structure on it that meets all requirements, it is highly unlikely you can be prevented from building there as it would amount to seizure of property without due process (i.e., zoning you out of existence).

Then again the ones I"ve seen are public (and government seizure, real ones not websites claiming to be seized) auctions.As far as "real property" (houses), I definitely haven't seen anything sell for 30cents on the dollar compared to property value, or even 50 for that matter.

I'd advise you to get familiar with the fair housing act, because excluding anyone from your rentals is a direct violation and could lead to the seizure of your property and jail time.
