All depends on the property.In my mind and experience, there is no advantage unless the listing agent is that greedy, in which case you aren't going to get the best deal.Plus keep in mind once there is dual agency, the agent has to stay neutral.

This is the kind of thinking that caused the 2008 crash. 2008 was caused by subprime lenders handing out ARM loans to anyone with a pulse + credit agency's AAA stamping turd mortgages.
