I have not personally invested in condos although I've had friends who have and the HOA fees are a variable fee which is why I have not chosen to invest in condos.

After I was lending for several years, we decided to jump into investing as well, but we didn't personally have a lot of $ to do so.

Personally I think that over-analyzing or analysis paralysis can lead to missed opportunities or poor decision-making.

I don't personally care about checks anymore so that wasn't an important feature for me. 

I personally haven't invested in senior living, however, in my role, I procure financing for people that do.
