From a materials perspective, HD and Lowe’s have a great range of cheap to pretty darned good items.

You have to be invited into it -- my invitation came two and a half years ago.Every month, HD sends me a list of about 500 items, and I can choose 5 of them, including one "premium" item.

The 3/8" at HD weighs about 1500lbs for 35 sheets. 

I know I can get Lifeproof LVP installed and trimmed out here for $6/sft, but again, not sure if that is low/high/about right for your area.When I first started out, I spent a LOT of time at Lowes, HD, and Menards and made a big spreadsheet with pricing of commonly used materials (appliances, cabinets, doors, windows, trim, flooring, paint, shingles, etc.). 

If you dont want to spend a lot of money get the ones from HD that mount in the plastic brackets outside the stops.

On one I got enough porn to start my own adult book store from one tenant.

If its a newer pedestal, the lock may not be available at HD but online.

If you go this route due diligence is a must as those contractors aren't screened and vetted like HD or Lowes.
