She may actually exceed his income this year, but she's just very fixated on his activities and takes everything too far (most recently claiming our older male tenant is hanging out in my stepsons room playing video games, for example- an absurdity in and of itself- he's never been in our home).  

Remind them that the lease states no alterations without your permission.If you don't feel safe, take a male friend with you when you go (ideally one who looks more threatening and who will just stand there-not talk).

I live  next to a tenant family who are Anti-Asian Hate, asking me to move away.

One of them has all male students and the only real issue is them disturbing the neighbors.
