I had intentionally transitioned into real estate & business in the Oklahoma City metro at the end of 2019 after stumbling in the industry after one of Robert Kiyosaki’s books & online educational material.

I have always wanted to be in the BTR industry and do it the right way.

No judgment no pitching just real industry conversation and Comment.Because the truth is:The best lenders don’t just fund dealsThey protect relationships and help brokers WIN.And while you’re here tag a broker or lender who always comes through when things get messy.Let’s show them some respect 💼 The lender should also act as the guide as if you are going on a safari, they navigate through the forest and make sure there is communication and documentation is getting completed by the borrower and their underwriting team is providing updates on where things are at.

@Andrew SteffensNo lender is going to take a mortgage on an overseas property because they don’t have the infrastructure (nor the willingness) to try to repossess the property in case of default and even the largest international banks won’t do it.You might hear that somebody in the US got a loan in the US to buy a property overseas but that could be because they gave a US property as collateral or any other collateral or it’s a company that has a strong balance sheet and took an unsecured loan but that would likely defeat the propose of the original poster.If you know of any lender who takes an overseas mortgage as sole security for the loan, let me know as I’d be very interested but  I’ve worked in the banking industry across the work for many years so I know that, if ever there was any, it’d be more the exception rather than the rule. 

After serving, I’ve set my sights on the massive wealth-building potential this industry offers.I just enrolled in my California pre-licensing courses and I’m studying for the exam while working full-time. 

I am looking for a mentor in the area: someone with experience in the industry to show me the ropes and teach me different strategies to start my portfolio. 

I focus on helping clients navigate residential real estate opportunities and love connecting with people who are building, learning, and growing in the industry.

This market is a very stable market with a very diverse range of industry's, with no more than one industry accounting for over 20% of jobs in the area.

Does their lobbying prop up the entire RE industry?
