Now you repeat that process until it's paid off.Disadvantages:It took a while for me to set up.Bank account is always low, lol.People can spend a lot with that amount of credit.People think I'm weird when I tell them DId you analyze what would happen if you moved all of that money you were using to pay off a heloc, not get a heloc and put that money in a treasury or other type of account that got you 6% interest or invest in an ETF or something lower risk?

While you are figuring it out and/or deploying it over time, US Treasuries and certain CDs are paying 5%...and 4% for certain online savings accounts.

Having watched many prior co-workers get paid, cash their check at the casino, and promptly deposit it all into a slot machine I can tell you with pretty good certainty that casinos don't have a positive effect on disposable income and good use of the existing income in the area surrounding :)Are there solid local employers OTHER than the casino in a 15-minute drive?

I would do treasuries rather than CDs for liquidity and the slightly better yield, however I believe I have to keep it in a bank.
