My grandfather actually attended the Naval Academy and then became a commercial airline pilot.

I have been to the Cayman Islands plenty of times, and love it, but I want to find somewhere else - a hidden gem maybe... that has yet to explode as a tourist destination, but close enough to a major town that airlines can fly into as I need to make it somewhat affordable and accessible to people who would like to rent it out.

@Shivani KumarYou would need to operate on a very large scale, or have access to a TON of airline miles to make it worthwhile flying to inspect properties you are interested in.

While out of college I became an airline pilot, I left that career when I found real estate.

You may get retirees, tenants who work locally to those towns, airline pilots who are rarely home, etc.

I use to sell those Kirby vacuum cleaners and I worked for Brandon Ford in Tampa Florida as a car salesman (I know, they have bad reputations).

We rent single family homes, so we have a conversation about yard maintenance, snow removal etc - have you don't this before, do you have the tools etcI also bring up house cleaning questions, by telling them we had a tenant who did not own a vacuum cleaner, did not know how to run a dishwasher, had a mess in the basement etc - and then see how they respond.That is a non-offensive way to talk about house cleaning and you'd be surprised how different the responses are.

I personally would also do booking.com but my experience has not been as negative as some others here.There are a lot of other platforms I use as a PM like Marriott Homes and Villas and JetBlue airlines but they only work with PM's with over 50 units.
