You have some very good points and maybe you should go on your YouTube channel (which I spent hours on watching free stuff) and you should debate robert kiyosaki he has become so negative about everything and Ray Dalio scares the heck out of me.Can you or anyone here who has been through a few decades of economic cycles tell us about the common denominator of all these downturns and what is different now.I appreciate everyone’s contribution but some have less than a decade in the real estate business and that is very little experience to maneuver through big economic declines and dish out advice to others on forums like BiggerPockets!

Blinds are always thrashed when people move out but curtains will usually be ok after a trip to the laundry.I also put a little effort into staging the low end apartments - it makes a big difference if you put up shower curtains, toilet paper, soap, paper towels, dish soap and a dish sponge.

@Caryn Seifert I disagree with Account Closed on the dishwashers, some people use them, some don't but you can always use your dishwasher for storage if you don't want to use it for washing dishes.
