If one has a second home in a high-tax state that rents for more than 14 days a year and is used more than 14 days, would it make sense to convert it to a rental property, given the new tax law?

After a few phone interviews, plan a market visit to meet them in person.

Whatever works for you.If 10 people want to get together and pay me $5k each, I will give them a weekend teaching with free  meals each day with steak in the evenings.

But, I wanted to be better paid and make sure my deals worked, so I started doing creative financing, and going out to eat instead of stewing over bad meals.

Make sure you tell them exactly your plan and make sure there isn't a catch.

I think this is a great plan but saving $5-6k a month.

I'm 22 and planning to buy my first home in the Atlanta area (currently living in Midtown) by next September.
