if you can't do so for 1 or 2 or 4 years, so be it - be patient and continue to save-once you can house hack, house hack a few times in a row-if you do this just a few times, you'll own more rental properties than 95% of people-good luck

Before you swing a hammer, confirm clean title, redeemed taxes, code liens, and permit history; get utilities on and do a full safety check: roof, foundation, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and sewer.
