I cannot tell you how many conversations I've had with people who end up going to HD or Lowe's with a contractor to buy a miter saw or air compressor because the GC doesn't have one. 4.

The flooring itself is not expensive and if you are getting quotes from Lowes/HD often times they have a flat fee or even completely free if you buy from them. 

I have compared the prices at LL flooring, HD, and Lowes.

Then I can track what is purchased and they get my contractor account discount plus I get free gas from HD and the contractor doesn't have to front the money for materials and gets paid for the labor.

@Craig Frankie lately we have been buying GE from HD and that has worked well.

We work in a HD where there are no official guidelines which creates a huge ambiguity when submitting plans for approval to the local board.

Don't waste your time with the HD garbage in this circumstance.  

Here is few solutions which I am thinking:Option 1: I was think to buy mold test kit from HD and test it myself.

There are the big box stores (HD, Lowes, Floor & Decor) where you will find middle of the road materials at middle of the road prices, then there are the higher end producers (Sugatsune, Andersen, Geberit) that you buy direct from the manufacturer.

We pay significantly less by buying from a window shop than we have from HD.
