It looks like some sheet of some sort is peeling away.  

and surprisingly still looks decent.But he would like us to replace the kitchen linoleum which was peel and stick and also paint the kitchen walls.He’s a very clean person and there are just some cooking splatters that are not cleanable.

The ones in my unit were new when I moved in and look nice, but they're super cheap and are starting to peel around the edges - pressboard with laminate.  

They are obviously not the best but they are wood so we don't have cabinets swelling from cheap particle board swelling or the aweful paper veneer peeling off.  

People don't realize that you can't put vegetable peels, etc. down a disposal.

But you need to get it on the stains to work so you'll have to peel back carpet/pad to get to the sub-floor stains.

They can either clean it up or wear a mask while they work in my opinion.I am I being unreasonable?
