Physician by trade in NC, but interests in prehospital medicine and the outdoors.   

I would like to build a new construction, roughly 6,000 square feet, again for medicine-related purposes.  

Doctors do not practice all types of medicine.

They have a great ACH form for tenants to sign and give you to  you so you can control the autopay setup.

That is pretty typical of any ACH based payment system.

As for collecting rents...folks on here talk a lot about a few different free services - we insist on digital payments/ach/bank transfers and charge $25 if they want to pay by check.

One Fidelity rep says this account cannot be used to do ACH transfers, so I cannot use it to take rental payments from  my property manager.

You can collect the money in many ways, I have tenants pay using secure ACH transfers using apartments.comI would declare this income because later on you may need the documented income to qualify for loans etc.

Another wild idea would be to see if the owner (or new owner) would file a Ch. 13 BK.Call if me if want more details help to help.

The site also allows tenants to pay with ACH for free or for a fee, the tenant can pay with a credit card.
