@Matthew Rembish  Watch the movie Glengarry Glen Ross and you will know what "leads" are in 1992, but the premise is the same.

Well the company would only hand out 3 to 5 leads a week and you better get your sales on those and of course the top producers got the hot leads. ( think the movie Glenn Garry Glen Ross a must see for most aspiring RE folks) any way my dad save a few dollars and bought a printing press ... said printing press was in our one car garage of our apartment.. guess who ran said printing press after school at 8 years old.Then guess how those direct mail pieces got to the houses..

@John Suralik  my post was total tong in cheek  ... however I do have a very deep background in this stuff. my dad was a land salesmen in the early 60s  think Glen Garry Glen ross the movie.. that was his business..  

My dad ended up with 20 to 30 leads a week and within 6 months was making big dollars for those days selling land... the other salesmen had to just wait for the manager to hand out those 3 leads.... think Glenn Garry Glen Ross and you can picture my up bringing

Also ground zero for this is Riverside and San Bernidino counties in CA. there are over 2 million undeveloped platted lots. thousands are bought and sold at tax sale yearly. there was a company I think they are still around ..

@Karl Krentzel your showing your age... the fact is glenn garry glen ross is exactly how the land game was played in the 50's and 60's  I know I personally lived it as a kid.. think of the millions of lots in Florida CA.
