Only real difference is that NARR isn't as big and doesn't enforce a standard naming convention, so you end up with some wild state affiliate names like Texas Recovery Oriented Housing Network (TROHN), Washington Alliance for Quality Recovery Residences (WAQRR) or California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals (CCAPP).

But it takes a very special type of person (patient, flexible, detail-oriented, but also willing to deal with slow moving government bureaucratic processes and requirements that often make no sense) and systems to make it work.
