None of these methods are foolproof, but if you go this route you are aiming to make it more trouble than it's worth.Eyes on the unit: hire security to patrol the house; put up monitored cameras; put up cameras with motion-detection alerting; ask the neighbors to watch; station a guard dog at the unit (not recommended).

There is no uniform standard of practice across the industry, other than we need to know the laws, so unfortunately it can be an agonizing process of trial and error to find the professional that is the right fit for your needs.

I’ve got about another year and a half before I will retire, so I plan to use the time to get a big jump on the education piece of this puzzle and to build up some REI momentum prior to hanging up the uniform.
