The judge rules that there was a comma missing and it should have read "Smith, Robert" and over turned the sale based on faulty notice.In another case TWO certified mail letters were sent each one requiring the signature of either the husband or the wife. 

When and if audited, the vast majority are overturned.

In one recent Dauphin County tax sale lawsuit the sale was overturned because of a missing comma in the notice of sale. 

Unless that was overturned by yet another appeal (a 3rd one), the courts found for the original plaintiffs (Sec8 applicant and the county).

The aids health foundation is sponsoring, to the tune of in excess of $10m, a proposition (prop 33) to over turn Costa Hawkins.  

CA also there is no right of redemption once its sold its sold  the only way the sale can be over turned is if the tax collector did not advertise in the local paper the mandatory number of days. 

And I’m pretty sure that this will get challenged, and possibly overturned in CA superior court.

I have learned the hard way what I should have known all along: It is better to rent something out for $650 without any turn over for a few years in a row than to try it at $750 and even have a little turn over.
