Insurance is really priced for catastrophic events and costs, not for things <$10,000, unlike Health Insurance - which people use for small stuff like prescriptions and doctor visits.

@Jason Mak I don’t have anything to add to this post but in Northern Virginia the rental assistance program is also pretty good I was able to make the application but the time line of receiving the funds is not clear so it might take two weeks or it might take three months so that’s just a tough pill to swallow
