I recommend jumping into different social groups, attending conferences, check out YouTube for videos, and connecting with others in the space.

The whole weekend my partner @Shane Deckert and I spent maybe 3 hrs total in the conference room, the rest of the time in the halls and networking.

I had already gone to a than Merrill weekend conference which really sold me on real estate investing just not with his group.

If your CPA personally answers his phone when you call, it means one (or more) of these things:you're one of his special most valuable clients for whom he makes an exceptionyou also happen to be his golf buddy or his investment partner or his girlfriend he is new and does not have enough clientshe is overwhelmed between projects and calls and is about to be checked into a facilityhe is a unicorn or is otherwise extinctWhat is reasonable to expect is that you should be able to reach your CPA at a prescheduled time and via an agreed upon channel: email, text, phone, video conference, whatever you guys agree on.

We also have a ready market for short-term stays: students who attend the university during the summer for shorter courses, conference attendees, sports camps, etc.

It's the best conference for high value networking with people who are active in all types of asset classes.

I met with them at a VRMA conference here in Branson and they have VA's that are trained in vacation rental management.
