This situation could lead to some less than positives for hotel, travel and oil sectors.

In my sector of low C-class urban SFR, I would be willing to bet we're going to experience long-overdue culling of the herd of uncommitted passive-investment-dreaming landlords who are completely unprepared to run their heavily leveraged empires relying on multiple third-party associates in a time of national crisis.

Short term rentals however was already a high risk investing method with municipal risk being a huge challenge in the sector. 

I have read some articles that the general global economy has been slowing down a bit, primarily the manufacturing sector. 

We were just doing high end renovations for other clients but besides one rental home we rehabbed years ago and rented then sold we never flipped homes or did anything income wise in the real estate sector. 

What we do know is the hotel, office & retail sectors face significant headwinds.

What are your thoughts on the markets/sectors that may see the biggest downturn?

I would want to know what are rents compared to market and what are the turnaround times on vacant units.Lastly, if you're aware of the direction the sector and the country is heading - charging premiums is not sustainable.
