They won't necessarily pick the cheapest place - reasonable people tend to be suspicious of super-cheap prices - but they'll hedge their bets with lower-cost rates, which drives everything down.

It can be tough to learn the right Cities, and neighborhoods that offer the bet prices and highest rents but feel free to ask. 

A 15 year, out-of-state investor my recommendation is to ALWAYS choose whatever city you have the most trustworthy contacts in.

But if I was a betting man, I'd bet prices will be higher in 50 years than they are today. 

TLDR;By my findings, if you are a long term Airbnb host/Superhost, etc and had your bookings DROP OFF A CLIFF this summer, switch to "Flexible" cancellations and I bet your bookings will go back to "normal".So I have been hosting since 2018hundreds of reviews, still over a 4.9+ score.

I’m really big into neighborhoods with decent multifamily properties in the area and doing a hybrid of STR or MTR with an LTR to hedge your bets.
