Section 8 vouchers are permanent, long term vouchers.

Hi, my name is Liam.I’ve recently started exploring the idea of becoming a landlord and renting to Section 8 voucher holders.

I hedge my bets against that by having about 65-70% of my portfolio on vouchers so rent is guaranteed and a lot less vacancy.

There are programs right now with HUD-VASH that put homeless veterans(who still earn income) in homes with Govt. backed housing vouchers.

They are more afraid of loosing their voucher than enything. 

We can also service the property with construction, management and putting the property on a HCV (Home Choice Voucher) or better know as Section 8, thru our relationships with the local County Housing Authorities.

The Hilltop area does have active voucher holders, but be ready for repairs, inspections, and communication with CMHA.

You can't just put anyone there because they have a voucher.
