I guess what I am trying to say is that as a landlord & property manager if a tenant were interested in doing that for one of our CT rentals, it wouldn't carry too much weight for me, personally.

Especially with flooring suggestions that are fine under the weight of a heavy tub if we keep the tub.

I know a vacancy is tough and it can be hard to find tenants in the winter, but you have to weight the costs and benefits and decide.If it's harder to find renters in the winter, try offering a month-to-month lease just to get through the winter, then move back to a one-year lease in the spring.

My initial thought is that the added weight of the bathroom, water heater etc. during the renovations made the top floor to sag over the years.

You have more weight and you are a more important client.

And yes, every time I submit a payment towards dramatically reducing the bad debt -- it puts a smile on my face and a little more weight is lifted off my shoulders.
