Otherwise, I recruit people I run across live, like my UPS driver, Mail Carrier, Newspaper Delivery Person, Students at the college, etc.  

It is a tort (civil wrong) making the person or entity (like a newspaper, magazine or political organization) open to a lawsuit for damages by the person who can prove the statement about him/her was a lie.

I would scour the newspaper classifieds right in the store and make daily calls to the possible sellers that listed their homes along with calls to any mtg company in the yellowpages that mentioned private or hard money.

Think of all the publications that now sell online subscriptions rather then physical newspapers or magazines.

it's mind boggling now how crazy it's in the private world of private investment right now, it's just because it's hidden outside public  realm so it's not in newspaper yet, but at least some part of it it's in realdeal and some in insider scoop market statistic, you can't find believe what some of the fund operator do to investor ;-) absolutely crazy imo, it's just I can't tell. being poor and basic landlord is good enough for me lol

Your picture of the newspaper reminds me that in an older house (not as old at the 1901 house) we found lots of old newspapers used as insulation.
