@William Coet The laws are different for a true short term rental, say a week, where the laws for hotels are in effect and the police can remove them Verses longer stays, typically 30 days or longer, where the landlord tenant laws go into effect, police can’t just remove them, you have to evict through the court system like a normal long term tenant.

I live in DC and my primary residence is in an A+ neighborhood, so the cash flow will not be as great once I move out and start renting it, but i will benefit from long term appreciation, which I view as something to cash out for say a child's college education fund, or supplementing retirement.
