There is still an ordinance that you can only advertise that a VR can sleep up to 10 people unless you have an integrated sprinkler system.

Here in Washington County, Utah, 4 hours south of Salt Lake City, 2 hours North of Las Vegas, we have plenty of investors who are trying to decide whether to purchase a Long Term or a Short-Term rental (vacation rental or VR). 

Here are a few thoughts on why I think the VR investor market will continue to thrive here...1.

Would it be beneficial to have someone that is an expert in vacation rentals, vs just some offshore VR thats extremely cheap?

They are full service whereas a VR isn't.

Nice to see more and more content coming online regarding the VR niche.  

With that said, i plan on buying a VR in the next 12-24 months in PR.

We have a cabin in Tahoe and a VR in Napa Valley.

@David Zall yes, your city’s website so you can read everything about their regulations and policies for STRs, Airbnb so you can read their policies and procedures, listen to the STR success stories and VR machine podcasts.

They throw on their Oculus Rift or HTC Vive or Other AR/VR headsets, then BOOM they are at the home walking around seeing how the house actually looks.
