You might as well go with a private mortgage company as the rates are the same if not better and you don't have them turning over every stone to make sure you fit a box like a bank does.

I just reached out to a credit union today to see about financing.A credit union is not likely to be a good fit unless they are doing portfolio lending, and even then. 

Are they a good buy, well it depends on if they fit your need.

There is a lot of opportunity in Ohio and depending on your specific goals I am sure you can find a market that fits your criteria.
