I dont know if the value of anything that anyone owns is ever under their control..............but I think that the answer to the question on the topic is obvious....Developers are holding to property longer because of the overall institutional freeze on lending and credit markets, and the effect that it has had at the retail level.

That's the usual answer to not having any money.I guess given all that, I'd list these two properties tomorrow and try to get rid of them.

An outright bailout of people and institutions reinforces bad patterns that emerge again down the road in a new set of clothes.I'm not sure if nothing can be done now, but it seems like there must be some sort of middle road where financial solutions can be reached while still keeping the people on the hook that made poor decisions.I honestly don't know what the answer is.
