My goal is to earn enough income from rentals to "put my wife out of job" because I am tired of seeing how the 9 to 5 job takes its toll on her at times.

They have access to the MLS and their social network.

I too am up for a coffee social or whatever.  

I have replaced social media with reading and podcasts about real estate.

(silicon valley or seattle are for tech degrees. chicago, memphis, nyc for social work degree, etc...)there are opportunities everywhere. and there's also the ability to invest from afar... so without more criteria as to what you want, it is hard to pinpoint a place.

I will self-manage the other units.Transition to living off one-income and start having children (my wife enjoys being busy and the social aspects of work and wants to continue full-time employment).Long-term Goals-Grow real-estate portfolio to consist of a handful of multi-family units.Live off of real estate investment cash flow (i.e. achieve financial independence).
