I’m thinking of buying, house hacking a residential house that has a basement; turning that basement into an apartment to do air bnb for ski season, renting upstairs to a permanent resident.

The a/c is also more efficient than a window unit.If you don't want to go with 3 separate units, I might upgrade the existing 100 amp to a 200 amp, and still do a ductless system with air handlers for each unit.
