They narrowly missed that by sweet talking the remediation contractor and he finally decided he could "be careful" when digging near the neighbors property.

@Joe GoreThere may be things that we're missing, but my assumption is that the contract listed large items and didn't mention every little things, that is part of the big item.Kind of like when it says 'rewiring a house' that would also include attaching outlets and switches and adding switch plates etc.So, it really comes down to how the contract is worded and what was meant with it, but a 203K loan usually involves renovating a house until it's considered finished, or the mortgage company would have a loan on a house that is not finished.

It SEEMS like they would be on the hook to pay the gain on their taxes that year without actually reciving the cash to do it, which is clearly the worst of situations.I assume I am missing something and am looking to be educated
