1) Rome wasn't built in a day... just like a successful RE portfolio. 2) Just like everything in life, you gotta sort through a lot of BS to find a great deal.3) Be objective and don't make fear based decisions.4) Cookie monsters will always say cookie is the best food no matter what..

So I had enough cash flow from the airbnbs to pay for my shelter and food expenses plus I had a good amount in savings before I took the leap of faith.

Use it maybe for food and groceries or something and pay it off every month.

@Jas Raw   Ask some people now if the "pain" is worth it :-) I can't tell you how many people have reached out to me and people I have seen on threads now saying, "Oops, I wish I had that guaranteed money of a Section 8 tenant now because my tenants are not paying me the rent, but the bank still wants their money and as a landlord I still need to put food on the table." 

If you want to be rich you should move closer to the food.

Hello Billy,You're not obligated to provide refrigerator, washer and dryer when renting out a SFH, and you can eliminate items that tenants damage so often such as the garbage disposal, but you'll have to replace the sink with one that comes with a built-in strainer so nothing other than liquids and soft food scraps go down the sink.
