During due diligence for the purchase of the house, we had a house inspection and a specific check for the septic system, which had no issues identified.

@Jessie Xu whenever there's water damage the main concern would be the source of the water leak (identifying and fixing) and then remediation of any mold if it's been a long time. 

That would be a good reason to identify up to 3 properties.

Or would it be home inspection and being able to identify investing potential when you search out deals?

The weather outside also plays a factor (the upper 70s seems to be the sweet spot) but I have identified the windows being the key factor.Has anyone else had an issue where leaving the windows open creates some sort of air pressure differential that pulls a smell out of the walls?
