They normally charge for this nowadays, but since I have a service contract, the oil company when they give me the official reading thank me for the service contract and mention this is one of the wonderful benefits.On move out, a similar reading is taken.In the lease, if the tank reading is over what it is when they move in, they get reimbursed, if it's below they get charged.
