Condo association owns the shared driveway and everything beyond the front wall of the house.

SFH can be faster to sell and rent because of not sharing walls  and ceilings.

I'm looking into doing a smaller version of the rehab, without the permit but avoiding plumbing, electrical, and moving walls.

If I were you I'd hang onto if if it will paid off in 10 years (but I don't know how old you are).

Hang tight to the close...it's worth the wait.

Not necessarily a deal-breaker, but needs to be accounted for in extra cost)- Lathe and Plaster has pros and cons (Make sure you know them)- Insulation in modified walls (Old houses tend to have wooden expansion walls built against stone exterior walls.

I'm located in Orange County, which I did not mention because I don't need to be too close to home, especially with current prices.I have been giving condos some thought because I feel I may have less (only the inside of the walls) to worry about but I know condos come with their own set of problems like HOA costs and politics, etc. 

I always feel a bit bad about my wall-of-text posts, but I'd rather be wordy and get good info out there than be brief and assume that new investors just magically know what to look out for.

I stuck to the modern theme - replacing light fixtures from Amazon, peel & stick flooring in the kitchen, and adding a fresh coat of paint on the cabinets and walls.
