Hey everyone! I've always been interested in investing, just because a JOB never really fit me. I'm new to real estate, but I'm looking forward to the challenge. Experience: Simply put, I have none. Updated 2/23/18 - Okay so 2017 was not the breakout year. That's okay though this is a game of progress not perfection. I did learn about financing and lots of different ways to make money with real estate. On the experience side of things, I have flipped one house since I started and decided that commercial real estate was the path for me. You never know until you try it, right? Real Estate Goals: I want to close on 2 properties by the end of 2017 with enough cash flow to keep me going into 2018. My end goal is to be in a position where I can donate a house to charity. Updated 2/23/18 - So, after flipping one house, and making very little money comparatively, I have decided to focus on multifamily real estate. Not just for the cash flow, but also for the stability of the property long term and the tax advantages. I want to wind up in the senior assisted living space, but that's a long way from here. It's important to keep in mind that our goals financially really should align with our goals morally. As investors it's easy to get involved in the minutiae of the business and get lost in the spreadsheets of management. Our great "why" is money, security, entrepreneurship or generational wealth, that's awesome but we all have customers, internal and external. It's true that the rising tide raises all ships, I want to be the tide.
