My husband and and I have owned a rental property in the past. We didn't manage that very well as rents were just too low to keep it going so we sold at a very modest profit after taxes. We are now looking to get back into the Real Estate market. I am currently trying to gather as much info as possible so we don't make the same mistake. I believe we will be looking for a minimum 3 unit rental property to start with in the Southern NH area. My day job is a financial advisor. I have operated my own practice with a business partner since 2006. I have experience as a business owner which can be a full-time job on it's own even before you start actually working with clients! While I have experience with traded REITs, not much of that applies to managing your own Real Estate. What I do know is several sources of income is vital to long-term financial well being. I hope to have my two teen daughters help with the business so they gain the knowledge I wish I had when I was young. Looking forward to making connections with members where we can compliment their skills and knowledge and vice-versa.
