I've been around the world and back and have decided to settle in the Chicagoland area. After 7 years in the Army as a combat engineer, I left the service and now work as an engineer for a government contracting company. I am married and have a daughter and another little girl on the way. I want to get into real estate investing so I can provide a better future for my family and be present as they grow. Experience: I am looking to purchase my first home and first investment property. I have three options for my approach: Owner occupy multi-family--> multifamily investment SFH Occupy--> SFH/Multifamily investments (conventional) SFH Occupy--> SFH/Multifamily investments (seller financing) Real Estate Goals: I am interested in investing in multifamily, small apartments, and single family homes that cash flow in order to supplement my income and save more money for my family. I want to leverage the VA Loan to House Hack a multifamily Investment/Primary Residence to live rent free and save money for additional investment properties. Currently Seeking: 3 or 4 flat multi-family properties in the Chicago area
