Rental Property Investor
From restoring and flipping free furniture from Craiglist (2013), to house-hacking in Silicon Valley (2013-2018), purchasing a single-family home used for house-hacking (2018), renovating a multi-family fixer-upper that I purchased in one of the hottest markets in the country at the end of 2020. My passion for working with people, learning new things, designing spaces, getting my hands dirty with DIY projects, talking strategy and taking risks have driven me to real estate. I thrive in environments where I'm empowered to showcase my vision, creativity, analytical skills, and forward-thinking strategic approach to problems as opportunities. I've learned that real estate is perfect for this. I completed my undergrad at Stanford University and my Master's degree at Santa Clara University. As a former history teacher, non-profit Executive Director, and currently an enterprise consultant and transition strategist, I've learned to leverage concrete transferable skills from my diverse work experiences and educational background through my journey into real estate. My goal is to continue turning my vision and purpose into intentional action. And sure... financial independence would be nice, someday. I'm here to learn from others and share whatever I can offer from my experience. Inspiring confidence in others and empowering them to be more lights a fire in me. Ask me about: multi-family rentals; house-hacking; room rental management; short-term rentals; finding great tenants; negotiating buyer/seller terms; challenging lenders; designing spaces; DIY renovations; navigating being new to real estate. DIY home renovation projects include: interior/exterior finishes; installing LVP flooring; kitchen renovations; bathroom remodels; backyard landscaping; crawl space pest remediation tricks; electrical work; shower tiling; drywall texturing; furniture-flipping.
